Willem Programmer PCB50 repair

Hi all:
Just had the programmer crap out.... 5 Vcc vanished off the ZIF and the green LED indicator.
Caused a 'hardware or connector error' in software.
Traced it down to a cold solder joint on R20. This is located at the corner of the PCB near the Centronics connector.
It drove the enabling PNP switch (BC327 near J7 on my board) for the Vcc.
I attach a clone schematic and the driver s'ware which seems to be hard to find.

Water level conductivity sensor in soda machines

Hello guys,

I'd like to understand how conductivity sensors work in general and hopefully as it applies to soda machines.
I've encountered two versions with different controllers but I'm sure the principal is the same.

Version 1:
Two stainless steel probes are inserted into the top of the tank (Carbonater) and both are isolated except about 2 centimeters at end of each probe inside the tank. The probes also have a connection on the...

Yesterday i was doing an experiment and believe me it worked real good,
what i did:
1)took a graphite pencil and drew a deep line on a paper sometimes straight or curved
2)then took an open circuit of a LED and put the the two open terminals at both the ends of the pencil line
3)to my wonder the LED started glowing but dim
4)as i moved one terminal through the pencil line towards the other the glow became stronger
MY CONCLUSION:
1)pencil lines when drawn uniformly on a paper conduct...

Completed my project of making an RC controlled 20MW gauss linear accelerator turret that can shoot down annoying drones and kites.Mounted it on my rooftop and has a webcam fixed to it for aiming with my computer from my room. Not to offend Derstrom8 the projectiles are made of iron core covered with latex rubber so that it is non lethal and just kills birds.Non lethal linear accelerators are permitted in our country. It also has self charging and reloading system.:)

Did I destroy this alternator?

Hey all.

I had a car that wasn't charging. So I chucked another 2nd hand alternator in it. It still wasn't charging and I was a little surprised but then I remembered that the battery light on the dash never illuminates. So I replaced the globe. The light came on with the ignition ok but when I started the car, it was charging at 18v. I checked the globe and I had fitted a 12 volt 5 watt globe to what had originally been a 12 volt 3 watt globe.

Even after fitting the correct globe,...

I have a dead Maycom EM27, it dosnt switch on although the LED lights for the back lighting on it. It pulls around 6A when you turn it on so I am thinking its shorted somewhere, I am thinking the marked diode is a likely candidate for the problem. Anyone got any other ideas before i go screwdriver happy? I dont have access to a camera until Monday I will take some pics then.

Hi
Has anyone got any advice on using a PIC front end to gather data/multiple ADC samples and get this ESP 8266 -12E to format a web page for browsing?
How is the ESP8266 programmed or is it just AT commands to do it and these can be sent via PIC RX/TX?
How about I2c....or possible bitbang?

thx

Remote Control 12v relay

Hello everyone,

I'm planning on adding some sort of remote control function that can push and pull the locking latch mechanism(it's like a deadbolt) on my garage door. I am thinking an actuator with a 12volt remote controlled relay. I've seen some of these type of 12volt remote control relays on ebay and amazon.

However the only thing I cannot figure out is how to auto stop the actuator from continuing once the latch has been fully pushed or pulled. I would like the relay to stop...

hi all,

I have to design EMI filter for a device, unfortunately ı am new at this issue. I decide to design CLC pi filter, but ı cant documents about this subject.

My problem is ı design smps having 132 kHz switching frequency and having about 10w power , it is successful electrically. Provides 2A 5V continuously, but fail EMI test. I use C-L filter but according to some document ı have to use C-L-C filter but this documents haven't got any info about this C-L-C values for any design....

How to make 31 Wireless LED Indicator with Pushbutton

Hello guys. Can someone help me to build a project regarding this. I have three options: (a) Wired (b) Wireless (c) IC Programming

I assume the wireless is the best, I suppose if I use Wireless Doorbell, I can reduce the use of too much wiring. And to make it an LED indicator, I would just have to replace the buzzer/or chime of the doorbell into LED. Is it possible? But I presume, it could possibly have frequency interruptions because I will have 31 doorbells in 1 room. Is changing the dip...

yea I know this is an ancient chip but have always wanted to build something using one but chips are readily available but in an Sdip package unless I purchase 57 chips from a guy in Argentina!!
Well locating an Sdip socket is pretty much a wash unless I purchase for $12 one socket.
Before I go much further as I have an adapter PCboard designed and a PC board for a sound demonstration is there any interest in such a PC board.
My goal is a device I will call GRANDPAS REVENGE as this is a...
